I loved this series. The characters were real people with real problems in an extraordinary circumstance. As a reviewer and author I find it rare that heroes are real people you can relate to…flawed and struggling to find their place. Most heroes are beautiful paragons of virtue. Who can relate to Mr. or Miss Perfect? They are wonderful characters and a fun read but is it hard to see their substance past their adventure. In this series we are Celeste in one way or another. She fights with her siblings and is depressed by her situation. Who hasn’t been there?
We are also a part of the adventure as the Garretts face their future as a cohesive unit. A+ on this series that blends slice of life, fantasy and romance. I give this series 5 Flowers. I can’t wait to read the next book, Sacrifice available on Smashwords.
