Brief Synopsis: Novelist and former New York City Detective, Darlene Holt got more than she expected when she joined a fan club devoted to line backer turned jazz musician, Russell Cross. The club known as Cross-Eyed is ruled by a crazed fan named Jenna McPherson. Jenna rules the group with an iron fist, stealing from the members. When Darlene gets wise and defects, she calls up her old friend, Lexi Delarosa, Private Detective. Together the two women build a plan to thwart Jenna McPherson’s choke hold on the group. Now it’s up to Lexi. Can she protect Russell and her heart?
Flower Rating: 4.5
Dawn Skyy weaves a unique tale blending mystery, suspense, and chick lit. It shows the dangers of celebrity stalkers and the beginnings of a heart warming love story. The characters are well thought out and the police procedurals show her knowledge in the field. The only downfall is that this book is a serial, Part Two is in the works, leaving the reader with a cliff hanger and wanting more. I can’t wait to read what happens in Part Two and how Russell and Lexi continue to fight Jenna’s attacks.
